2)c) Several cords were observed in areas accessible to children - in room 1, there was a speaker with a long cord; in the kitchen, there were several cords in the unsecured drawers and on appliances in unsecured cabinets; outdoors there was a loose cord on the back of the building that formed a loop that was accessible at at child level. 3)a) Adult-size scissors were observed accessible to children in room 1 this morning. There were also adult size scissors in the unsecured kitchen drawers and a box of plastic cling-wrap in an unsecured cabinet in the kitchen that had a sharp edge for cutting the plastic wrap. The kitchen is accessible to children as the latch on the gate can be easily opened by a child. 3)a) There is a cracked/broken electrical outlet cover plate with a piece of plastic missing on one of the outlets in room 3. It is accessible to children and they could stick a finger in the hole where the piece is missing. 3)d) The closet with the large, secondary freezer in it was left unlocked this morning so the freezer was accessible to children. 5)a) The covered outlet on the back of the building was accessible to children as the cover was not secured in any way. The outlet does not appear to be tamper resistant.
